The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has taken a significant step towards advancing the country’s digital landscape by partnering with Nokia to provide training in 4G and 5G technology. Announcing the collaboration, Dr. Aminu Maina, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Commission, emphasized plans for nationwide training sessions to take place at the Commission’s Digital Parks.
Earlier this week, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijanni, alongside the EVC, signed the MoU.
Nokia Nigeria plans to establish an Entrepreneur Learning Programme, offering top-tier vocational training to 200 Nigerian students selected from all six geopolitical zones of the country.
This initiative, aligned with the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy (NDEPS), forms part of governments determination to achieve 90% digital literacy by 2030.
